Manuela: Today, St. Charbel prayed with us. Kneeling before the altar, before the Mother of God, before the Cross of Christ, and before the reliquary. Then he said, “I am praying for you. You need my intercession, my assistance.”
For years, I had only seen him kneeling and praying, without uttering a single word.
During the Rosary to the Bride of the Holy Spirit, at the 4th and 6th decade, the cross on the blue orb of the Infant Jesus shone very brightly each time. The orb also symbolizes the earth. The woman sitting next to me saw this as well and took photos of the statue of the Infant Jesus both times. Yet in the photos, the cross has disappeared. A globe without a cross? Why this sign from the Infant Jesus? We can only speculate. But what I do know is that we should now gather all our strength for prayer—and do so worldwide. Please pray!
We prayed several rosaries as an act of reparation and then recited the prayers of the Charbel Novena before the statue of Saint Charbel. Suddenly, I saw Saint Charbel praying with us. He prayed very fervently in a very special way. He knelt and often bowed all the way to the floor. Saint Charbel did not speak. Father Tobias gave us his blessing. Immediately, an intense fragrance emanated from both, the apparition and the statue. The fragrance was as strong and intense as an inhalation and was perceived by those present who were praying; they rejoiced at this heavenly sign. The fragrance filled the entire House of Jerusalem all the way up to the gallery of the first floor. It smelled like a sweet, oriental incense. When I opened a package from Lebanon containing the relics of Saint Charbel, the relics also gave off this same fragrance.
It was only when I wrote down these words that I realized this happened on April 22. On the 22nd of every month, Saint Charbel is traditionally venerated in Lebanon. It is his feast day.
Saint Charbel came to us during Holy Mass when the priest said, “Blessed are You for ever and ever,” and prayed the prayers in silence to the priest’s left. After receiving Holy Communion, Saint Charbel stood directly in front of me, showed me his face, and opened his eyes. He said, “Be strong like the cedars of Lebanon. Celebrate the Holy Mysteries—that is the Holy Mass. You need the power of the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ and the power of prayer. All of this opens heaven to you. You also need the strength of the saints, for many who are called will wander in the desert and die because they have lost their faith. My love for the Lord is a living fire.”
I saw how the angels of the Lord at the Cross brought the Precious Blood of Christ to earth in golden chalices.
Saint Charbel appears in the House of Jerusalem and says:
“Beloved! I have come to you because the Lord has sent me to you. I am a servant of the Lord. Through my prayer, the cedars of Lebanon touch the heavens, and the Lord desires that the heavens bend over Germany. Thus, He Himself has already come to you as the King of Mercy. I have come to carry your hearts before the throne of God, so that they may become fragrant vessels for the Lord. I have come to bless you in the evening hours of every 22nd of the month. In times of tribulation, heaven will be with you to strengthen you, so that you may walk in the ways of the Lord. So that my prayer, too, may penetrate your hearts. I do not wish to be merely a saint from the East to you. I wish to be your friend in Jesus. I wish to be your support, your guide into heaven. I will bless all the nations that call upon me, all the people, and now I bless you, vessels of God: In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen. Praise be to Jesus Christ forever! Amen. Blessed is the one who is close to God; happy and praised be he, according to Holy Scripture.“
(Personal note: I looked up the Bible passage and found Psalm 73:28: “But as for me, I trust in you, O Lord; to be near you is my greatest joy.”)
Saint Charbel appears in a monk’s habit, and I make the sign of the cross (bless myself)
“In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.”
Saint Charbel speaks to us:
„My children of God, my beloved, I bless you ‚In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.‘ I have had no other secret than this: to live the Holy Mass in my life. Not that it was merely a duty for me. It was quite simple: His Majesty, the Lord, gave Himself to me in the Holy Mass, and I gave myself to Him. That is how it was, and now I am with Him. That is the whole secret. That is the secret of His grace, which He bestowed upon me. I prepared myself for Holy Mass through prayer, and after Holy Mass I gave thanks to my Lord and my God. It is devotion—the devotion of your hearts—that you lack, and when your heart is open, God can work His graces within you, beloved. Just as God wills and as it pleases Him, and this is what He will now do with my blessing:
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen. In Holy Mass, the Lord meets you already here on earth. Remember this!”
Saint Charbel appears in Sievernich bathed in a beautiful light.
M.: “I greet you, Saint Charbel!”
Saint Charbel holds the Holy Scripture in his hands, raises it up, and speaks to us:
“Beloved of the Lord, when I open my mouth to speak to you, it means that God wishes to fulfill a plan with you. He wants to have you wholly and completely in His Heart. Are you ready to serve Him? I bring you the Word of God, the Holy Scriptures. The Word is alive, yet you reject it. Yet there are people—people who are willing to die for the name ‘Jesus.’ This is happening right here among us. (Personal note: In the Middle East, Christians are often persecuted. Saint Charbel helped people of all religions.)
When I open my mouth and speak to you, I speak on behalf of Jesus and the Blessed Virgin Mary. Are you ready to follow them? Do not forget the Blessed Virgin Mary, who came to you as the Immaculate One. She prepared the way for the Lord, her Son, the King of Mercy. The Lord wants to make your faith as strong as the cedars of Lebanon. Stand firm in all the storms! Become fragrant cedars! Let the Holy Spirit blow through and within you!
When I open my mouth for you and speak to you, I ask you: Do God’s will; follow His commandments, even if the Western world says otherwise. But it is the voice of the world, and the voice of the world is not the voice of God. Everything lies in the mystery of the love of service! I give you this word for today and bless you and all the sick and suffering:
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.“
Prayer to Saint Charbel in Sievernich
This prayer was revealed to Manuela by St. Charbel on August 22, 2024
„O Saint Charbel,
you, the miracle-working monk and hermit,
who pours out God’s grace upon us humans,
which triumphs over ruin, look upon me!
Saint Charbel, come to my aid with the angels and saints of heaven.
May God, through your intercession, grant me the grace I now ask of you…,
if it is for the glory of God and for my good. Amen.
Saint Charbel, intercede for me before the throne of God! I ask you to heal the wounds of my soul and the sufferings of my body through the power of God for His glory, as it is the will of the Eternal Father in heaven. May His will be done! Saint Charbel, through your intercession before the throne of God, grant my heart, my family, and my country the peace that only God can give through His grace. Pray for Christians and for the Holy Church, that all may love Jesus with all their hearts and be united in God. Heal every error with God’s power!
O God, who bestowed the blessing of faith upon Saint Charbel, I ask You, through the merits and intercession of Your holy servant Charbel, to grant me Your abundant grace and the blessing of faith.
Grant me the grace, O God, to live according to Your commandments and according to Your Word, the Holy Scriptures.
To You, my God, be praise, honor, adoration, and thanksgiving for all eternity!
Amen.“
Saint Charbel appears during prayer in Sievernich.
M. greets the saint: “Mar Charbel!”
Saint Charbel speaks deliberately, pausing in silence between sentences:
“In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
Beloved of the Lord! God’s Spirit blows and blows toward those whose hearts are open. The West seems to have forgotten that there is a God—a heavenly majesty. They are entangled in their passions and wish to impose these as commandments upon humanity. The estrangement from God—and thus the sins—are great, and sin culminates in wars. Pray for peace! War is the revelation of sin! God wants all peoples to live in peace. Purify your hearts! The cause of this is sin combined with pride and a refusal to serve. I am His Majesty’s servant. Pray fervently! I will bless you through the priest. Take care that the spirit of tribulation does not lead you astray, and pay attention to the sanctification of your lives. It is the lack of love that hardens hearts.“
We observe that during Saint Charbel’s final blessing with the priest, the rosary on the statue of the saint moves, even though no one is near the statue and all windows and doors are closed. A scent of nard oil and myrrh accompanies the apparition and is perceived by those praying. Neither of these is present in the House of Jerusalem.
I have a bad cold and am either lying in my armchair in the living room or in bed. I’m suffering from the humid weather because of my asthma. Saint Charbel’s biography ‚Charbel: A Man Drunk with God‘, is on my nightstand. I begin reading it. Some dear people who pray gave me a letter containing St. Charbel’s rosary and prayers. I look through everything and wonder whether this particular rosary prayer is really necessary. Then I fall asleep in the living room and wake up gasping for air. My emergency inhaler is in the bedroom, so I go there to use it. Immediately, a great wave of fatigue washes over me. I lie down in my bed and instantly fall into a deep sleep. This is unusual, since I had already been sleeping before. After a while, a hand in a black sleeve wakes me up, shaking me vigorously. The hand touches me on the right side of my neck and shoulder. I knew immediately that the hand belonged to Saint Charbel. He said, “Wake up! Get up! Pray and spread this Rosary, and make sure the prayers are well translated into your language.”
“In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
Do you love the Lord? Do you love Jesus, even when He gives you crosses? May He give you a small cross? What then of your trust? Do you feel abandoned by the Lord? I tell you, it is precisely when the Lord loves you that He entrusts you with small crosses. He entrusts these crosses to you so that lilies may grow from this wood. Do you trust the Lord, who bestows His Precious Blood upon you? He will lead everything to good. But what you can do in the Lord’s love: prayer, sacrifice, penance, conversion. If you love the Lord, then the Lord’s word is not too heavy for you, and you can carry His crosses in trust in Him, who carries you and your crosses! The Holy Spirit is blowing. He blows like the wind that cannot be stopped, and so Jesus, the Lord, sends me to you and to wherever people hope in Him. I am not confined to this place, nor to that place. The Lord wants me to come to the praying hearts and allows me to do for Him what needs to be done. Faith in Germany is not as strong as the cedars of Lebanon. Therefore, nurture your friendship with your Lord! Remember that trees and plants must be nurtured and cared for in order to see them grow in abundance. Do the same with your faith, with the Word of God, with your life in the sacraments of the Church, and nurture fellowship. My life was different. I gave myself completely. Amen.”
Saint Charbel tells me that he will bless us later with the priest and says:“Praised be Jesus Christ forever! Amen.”
Before Holy Mass, we prayed the Charbel Rosary. Then Saint Charbel appeared right in front of me and opened his eyes. In his left eye I saw the Blessed Virgin Mary in golden form, and in his right eye I saw Jesus Christ, our Lord.
Saint Charbel says:
“In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit! Amen. Have you prepared your hearts for the Lord, for your Jesus? I have consecrated my life to Him. The West has not recognized Jesus. You have studied Him in theology, yet you have not recognized Him. Your churches are filled with the spirit of the age. Yet people’s souls seek the Holy Spirit, an encounter with God. What are your shepherds doing? Where is your confession of faith? Are you afraid, like Peter? Will not Moses from the Old Testament and John the Baptist from the New Testament bear witness against the church of the spirit of the age? Will not Holy Scripture bear witness against you? Holy Scripture is the Word of God for all eternity. When Holy Scripture speaks to you, God speaks to you! When it speaks against you,…”—now Saint Charbel bows his head—“…how then will you be judged? Fall to your knees and beg for mercy! Beg for God’s mercy, for you will be judged according to the souls you lead astray. God loves humanity, yet hates sin, because it disfigures humanity. From sin come calamity and war! Therefore, pray earnestly for reparation before the Eternal Father. Ask for the friendship of your Lord Jesus, my Jesus, who sent me to you. Pray for the misguided souls, for you must not reject them with words, but rather ask for mercy on their behalf. This is what Heaven wants! Yet do not accept any false commandment or false teaching. Do not let yourselves be led astray. Remain faithful to Jesus and Mary! Times of confusion are coming upon you. That is why the saints in Heaven are praying for you; that is why Heaven is opening here. Be strong in faith! The Holy Spirit blows where He wills! No one can stop the wind of the Holy Spirit. Trust in the King of Mercy. Prepare your hearts for His coming! I will bless the sick together with the priest.”
I see Saint Charbel. He is floating in the air and blessing us:
“In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.”
Then I see that there is someone else with him whom I do not know. Saint Charbel speaks to us:
“Look, friends of Jesus, at the love Heaven has for you! I am a friend of God, but this friend also intercedes for you before the throne of the Lord.”
In a personal conversation, Saint Charbel tells me that his companion, dressed in the same religious habit, comes from his region—that is, also from Lebanon. Saint Charbel continues:
“Whatever you do, do it with love! For the Lord loved you first. Pray and do not grow lukewarm! The fire of the Lord does not fit into a lukewarm heart. I take your petitions before the Lord’s throne, and my friend will also intercede for you. Always remember that the Holy Spirit is at work. If you pray earnestly, you will be able to come to me. The Lord will bring this about in His mercy. Pray and ask earnestly for this. If only the West were not so unloving toward God! How many graces you trample underfoot! Yet heaven is opening up for you. It is the Lord’s great mercy that you are experiencing. Through the celebration of Holy Mass and through your prayer, you can save your countries. It is time to set out! Do not worry about your father, do not worry about your mother; worry about the will of God. May the Eternal Father be your Father, and the Blessed Virgin Mary your Mother. How many vocations are lost because you worry about the things of this world! Look at my life: I followed God’s call—but do everything you do with love! I gave myself up, and God lived within me. Now I come to you with my friend, who is also a friend of the Lord. We pray for you and bless you with the priest. We intercede for you before the throne of the Lord.“
I say to Saint Charbel, “Your clothes look much better than they did in your lifetime, dear Saint Charbel.” He does not respond. He remains silent.
(Personal note: We searched for the friend who appeared with Saint Charbel. He is Nimatullah al-Hardini (born in 1808 in Hardin, Lebanon; died December 14, 1858, in Kfifane, Lebanon), a Maronite monk who was canonized by Pope John Paul II in 2004. He was Saint Charbel’s theology teacher.)
During our prayer, Saint Charbel appears and speaks to us:
“In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen. I have come to you today so that you may grow in virtue. If the Holy Spirit is to blow through your country, this will not change politics: You yourselves must open your hearts to Jesus, love Him with all your heart, and live out that love! You may grow in Jesus—those who are called, even more so in His love, and families as well in their own state of life. Like an oil lamp, I wish to kindle your hearts for Jesus! Do not pay attention to the many words of people; they would do better to remain silent and listen to the Word of the Lord. Carry Jesus’ Word in your hearts! Honor your spiritual fathers, for they are loved by the Lord! I have seen how they are accompanied by Saint Joseph, who intercedes especially for them and supports them. If the Holy Spirit is to blow through your country, it will be only through the conversion of your hearts! I go wherever I am invited to plant cedars of faith. Pray fervently and persistently for your intentions, so that I may come to your aid. Remember to keep enough oil in your lamps! I will bless you through the priest.”
Saint Charbel also points out to me that in his country, Lebanon, the name Charbel is pronounced “Cher-bel.” The apparition of Saint Charbel is accompanied by an oriental fragrance of nard oil and myrrh.
Saint Charbel comes to me while I am praying.
He says:
“What do spiritual fathers do? I do what all spiritual fathers do:
I bring the Child Jesus to the people.”
During our prayer, Saint Charbel appears together with Saint Nimatullah al-Hardini (who was his spiritual teacher). Saint Charbel speaks to us:
“In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
I have come to you from heaven, bringing Jesus to you with all His love! Pray fervently, for the Devil tempts the souls of people. I bring the peace of Jesus into your hearts. If only you knew how much the saints in heaven are interceding for you! My friend (as Saint Charbel points to Saint Nimatullah al-Hardini) is interceding fervently for you before the throne of the Lord. Do not let the evil one unsettle you! Go into silence and open your hearts to Jesus and Mary. Rejoice in the Word of God. See how much it gladdens your hearts! You do not need many things; yet do not forsake the love of God or His Word, for it strengthens your souls! You do not need many words, but do not forsake the Word of Jesus in Sacred Scripture, for the Word of Jesus heals your souls! You do not need many words in prayer; pray with your heart, with your whole loving heart, to the Lord and to Mary, His Mother, and the holy angels will lift your souls up in love to the Lord. Pray fervently for peace, that the Holy Spirit may put a stop to all evil and fill the hearts of those in authority. I pray for you and will bless you together with the priest, along with my friend. I especially bless the spiritual fathers!”
I see Saint Charbel, and he speaks to us:
“My friends, contemplate the life of Jesus! Did not the Holy Archangel Michael say to you that the life of Jesus is your catechesis? Contemplate the life of Jesus! I, too, have contemplated it. Jesus was and is my love! I no longer lived; Jesus lived in me! Open your hearts completely to Him! The Lord did not speak to you so that you might speak and live in compromise. The Lord spoke to you so that you might let Him into your hearts and live His love. When the Lord met the rich young man, who had done everything that was pleasing to Him, the Lord said, ‘Follow Me!’ The young man could not do it; his heart did not belong entirely to Jesus. Couldn’t the Lord have made a compromise with him, since he had obeyed everything? No. The Lord did not do this. Jesus wants to be loved by you completely. When you say “Yes” to Jesus, let this “Yes” come from the very depths of your loving heart. Whoever loves the Lord follows His commandments with all their love, and the fire of the Holy Spirit burns within them. Any compromise with the spirit of the age extinguishes the fire of the Holy Spirit. Do not look to the world, do not look to the spirit of the age, do not look to office and dignity—love Jesus and Mary! If you look to nothing else, but simply love, then Jesus will come to you with His Most Holy Mother Mary, and the holy angels will be your guests. Look at how I have lived! You need the fire of the Holy Spirit so that your hearts may burn entirely for Jesus and Mary! I pray before the throne of the Lord that the Holy Spirit may come to my aid so that I may plant cedars of faith.”
Saint Charbel tells me that he will bless us with the priest and says:
“It is important where you direct your gaze. Remain faithful to Jesus and Mary! Amen.”
Saint Charbel comes to us and says:
“You who are sheltered in the Precious Blood of our Lord Jesus, do not let yourselves be confused by the spirit of the times! Live in Jesus and Mary, in the Holy Sacraments, and meditate on the Word of God. You are far too preoccupied with the wounds of the past! Repent, and thus all of you—sisters and brothers—will have a future in Jesus! Pray fervently for your country, that it may not succumb to the spirit of the times, and do not be afraid! The time of the spirit of the times—the revelation of evil—is limited. God’s love is infinite! So do not let the peace of the Lord be taken from you! Love the spiritual fathers who are good shepherds, and pray for those whose hearts have been turned into ravenous wolves by the spirit of the age. Do not forget, however, that God’s love stands above all else! Remain faithful to Jesus, and know that whoever judges does not carry this love of God in his heart.”
Saint Charbel has seen our prayer intentions in our hearts and is presenting them before the Lord.
Saint Charbel comes to us and says:
“In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
‘Do you want to heal the world?’”
I now see that Saint Charbel appears with his friend, Saint Nimatullah al-Hardini. (Personal note: He was Saint Charbel’s teacher during his lifetime.) Saint Charbel continues to speak to us:
“If you want to heal the world, then surrender yourselves completely to the will of Jesus! Look to the Most Holy Mother of God, Mary, who lived entirely in God’s will and lives eternally in Him! To heal the world in all its sinfulness—you can do this only through God’s mercy and through God’s love. You can fathom His infinite mercy and His perfect love only if you surrender yourself entirely to His Holy Will. Just look at how your ego is destroying the world. Every person wants to be like God, makes up their own commandments, falls into fantasies, and ultimately into corruption. However, you can heal the world only with God’s mercy and love, by submitting yourselves to God’s will.”
Now we perceive the fragrance of Saint Charbel very strongly. He speaks to us:
“I have come to you from heaven with my friend to strengthen you and to ask you to remain steadfast in the faith. I would also like to ask all spiritual fathers to remain steadfast in the faith and to renounce confusion. My friend and I will take all your petitions before the throne of the Lord. I would like to encourage you to pray for peace. Do not give up!”
Saint Charbel and his friend bless us through the priest.
Thank you, Saint Charbel; thank you, Saint Nimatullah al-Hardini!
Saint Charbel appears and speaks to us:
“In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.”
Saint Charbel is holding something in his hands, and I ask him, “Dear Saint Charbel, what do you have there?”
Saint Charbel replies:
“Here in this place, dear friends, I have planted my cedar—a cedar of faith and trust in Jesus. I have come down to you from heaven to bestow upon you the grace of heaven, which is the merit and love of Jesus. Accept all people with love and do not deny them the gate to heaven; for the Lord, Jesus, the King of Mercy, does not show partiality as people do. He looks into your hearts! Jesus gladly enters your open hearts; His Most Holy Mother Mary gladly enters them. Your heart will be protected by the Holy Angels, if you so desire.”
Now I see that Saint Charbel is holding a small cedar tree with roots in his hands. In the roots of the cedar, I see the Holy Scripture. It opens, and I see a passage from Acts 10:1–48:
Saint Charbel continues:
“Read there that God looks at the heart and not at the person! I tell you, and I tell all spiritual fathers, that the Church is being purified through blood. Pray fervently for peace! Have courage and do not be ashamed to live your faith, to speak of Jesus and Mary, and to carry both in your hearts!”
Now Saint Charbel touches us all, and a great power radiates from him.
He takes his leave and will bless us later with the priest.
Saint Charbel appears in a light, and a beautiful light comes to us. I greet him: “Mar Charbel!”
Saint Charbel speaks to us
:“In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen. My friends of God, I have remained silent to serve God. But today it is up to you not to remain silent to serve God, but to profess Him! To profess God with all your heart and with your life. Pray fervently for peace! Keep in mind that peace in the Middle East will not last. Unless you pray like an army of God, peace will not come. Behold, every single wave belongs to the sea, and so we need a great sea of prayer and of God’s love! Let there be no fear in your hearts! I come to you from the throne of the Lord. There I intercede for you. Carry the Lord’s blessing out into the world and be filled with Him! I touch you when the priest blesses you.”
Saint Charbel appears in a light and says:
„In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
Look at the consolations Jesus has in store for you! For He wants me to come to you. How beautiful and precious is the Church of the Son of Man: She loves God, God’s commandments, and leads people into heaven through the Holy Sacraments. And look at what the demon of the spirit of the age is doing: The Church of the spirit of the age loves only itself and keeps people captive in their sin. It drives people into the abyss. Do you really believe that Heaven would remain silent about this? Pray fervently! Pray fervently for peace and pray fervently for people, so that they may not be lost. Did the Lord not die on the cross for your sins? The demon of the spirit of the age denies sin and thus also the work of redemption of my Lord. Remember this and do not fall prey to the false teachings of the spirit of the age. I have come because the Lord wills that I comfort and bless you, and this is what I will do!”
Saint Charbel says that he will bless us a little later along with the priest, and he says:
“Pray!”
Saint Charbel appears in a light and says:
“In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen. Rejoice and prepare your hearts for the Lord. Let your hearts be the manger in which the Blessed Virgin Mary and Saint Joseph lay the Child Jesus. Be prepared so that on Holy Night the Child Jesus may come to you! The spirit of the times considers all this foolish and outdated, and people whose thoughts revolve only around themselves cannot find the Baby Jesus. Their hearts are not prepared. But if their ears are not open, they cannot hear; if their eyes are closed, they cannot see; and if their hearts are not open, they cannot love. Therefore, open your hearts so that the Baby Jesus may come into your hearts and feel completely safe there. Remain at the Lord’s manger, with the Holy Family. Remain with them, for they all teach you humility. Whoever remains at the Lord’s manger and contemplates it is contemplating humility! Whoever contemplates the manger and the Lord within it also contemplates the riches and glory of Heaven, for the three Wise Men offered all their riches: gold—the gold of Heaven—incense, and myrrh. The King of Heaven was gifted with gold, incense, and myrrh. Pray and contemplate the Divine Child on this Holy Night, and become like a child yourselves. Beauty and dignity lie in simplicity. I have come to you to present your petitions before the Lord’s throne. I have come to you to bestow the Lord’s graces upon you and to touch your hearts. Seek the love of God; seek love, and cast everything else aside!”
Saint Charbel tells us that he will bless us later, together with the priest.
“Pray for peace in the world! Remember that I have planted a cedar of faith in this place.”
I see Saint Charbel surrounded by a golden light. He holds his hands raised for prayer. He blesses us and says:
„In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen. I have come to you from Heaven so that you may be strengthened in faith and remain steadfast. God wants you not to lose your faith! It is important that the Lord be proclaimed and that people live in Him. A distorted teaching is of no benefit to the soul. It leads it to ruin. Wherever the Lord is proclaimed, you are led toward Heaven! Pray fervently! Pray against error: pray that the Lord may be proclaimed, and become a light of peace for the people around you. It is important that you ask for peace, indeed, that you implore it! I place your intentions before the throne of the Lord. I have come to strengthen you. You, too, strengthen all those who are seeking and are of good will.“
Later, Saint Charbel will give us his blessing together with the priest
I see Saint Charbel hovering in the air, surrounded by a beautiful light.
„In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen. Friends of the Lord, I have descended from Heaven to bring you comfort and joy. The Spirit led Jesus into the desert for forty days and forty nights, where He was tempted by the devil. You know that the Lord overcame him with the words of Sacred Scripture. Dear friends, reflect carefully on this, for in Jesus you can withstand every temptation. Jesus is the Way, the Way to the Father: Never forget this! I have come to remind you of it. How blessed is this time of silence! It is the time in which you may purify your hearts. Cast all your burdens and afflictions upon Jesus in the Sacrament of Holy Confession. Consider how sin first entered the world. Man had only one commandment: not to eat from the tree. He was tempted and trusted more in himself than in God’s command. He desired to be like God, and his sin brought him death. Death is a consequence of sin. God did not will death for mankind, He desired to see man preserved in glory, close to Him and in His presence. Because death came through Adam and Eve by way of sin, because they yielded to temptation, God sent His only Son, who died for you on the Cross and redeemed you through His Precious Blood, in order to grant you eternal life, if you accept Jesus as your salvation and your Redeemer. God gives you free will so that you may love Him completely, choose Jesus with all your heart, repent, and turn away from sin. Thus, the Cross has become the Tree of Life for you.
(Note: I also call ‚beloved‘ those who accept Jesus and welcome Him into their hearts)
They do not rely on their own efforts but on the Son of God, for they know that man can easily fall into temptation. Yet the Lord will stand by them and give them the strength to pass through these temptations, and they will not yield to sin. Christ is the Way for you, the Way to Heaven, and I take all your intentions before the throne of the Lord. Pray for peace!“
M.: „Dear Saint Charbel, I pray especially for the sick and those who are suffering.“Saint Charbel asks that we read in the Catechism of the Catholic Church about sin. He also says that later he will bless us together with the priest. Then he bids us farewell and disappears. The apparition of Saint Charbel is accompanied by fragrances such as spikenard oil and an oriental anointing oil.
Saint Charbel is surrounded by a beautiful light, hovering in the air, and speaks to us:
„In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen. Friends of Christ, pray for the Christians in my country. Pray for peace! Peace begins within you, and the love of God causes it to grow in your hearts. I earnestly ask for your prayers. Did I not tell you that peace in the Middle East would not endure? Did I not tell you that it takes a sea of people at prayer to implore peace? Discover holiness, discover life in Jesus. The holy hearts that pray can obtain the conversion of hearts that have gone astray. The hearts of those who govern are filled with the desire for power and devise worldly plans, and these plans are far from the Lord. But you are called to implore grace from Heaven. Thus, I look upon my people and hold my hand in blessing over the place of my veneration in Lebanon. I also hold my hand in blessing over you, for I have planted here a cedar of faith. Your task now is to pray for the peoples of the Middle East, and so I take all your petitions with me to my Lord Jesus Christ.“
Now I see Saint Charbel holding an oil lamp in his hands, and he says that this is the flame of faith. He continues:
„The blood of the Christian martyrs in the Middle East purifies the Church and purifies the false teachings of the West. Therefore, children of God, pray for your brothers and sisters in the Middle East.“
Saint Charbel bids us farewell.
I see Saint Charbel surrounded by a magnificent light, and I also see several other lights. From them emerge Maronite saints. I recognize only Saint Nimatullah Al-Hardini and Saint Rafka. Saint Charbel is holding a red lily in his hands and says:
„In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen. Friends of the risen Jesus! Do not allow the flame of love for the Lord to be extinguished in your hearts. Pray for peace in the Middle East, pray fervently! Behold, I have come to you with my spiritual sister and my spiritual brothers. Pray for the Christians in the Middle East, pray for the persecuted Christians! Pray, and do not grow weary in prayer, so that the West may not lose the grace and dignity of being children of God!“
M.: „Dear Saint Charbel, what do you mean by that? Are we not all children of God?“
Saint Charbel looks at me and says:
„All of you are children of God, yet many choose prosperity over Jesus and cast away their dignity!“
M.: „What do you mean by that, dear Saint Charbel?“
Saint Charbel replies:
„Through the mercy of God, you can always return to the Lord; but through lovelessness, the dignity of being a child of God is trampled underfoot.“
Then Saint Charbel shows me the red lily in his hands and says:
„Behold, this lily represents the persecuted Christians. If only you knew how precious and valuable your prayers are!“
Later, Saint Charbel and his heavenly companions bless us together with the priest. The apparition is accompanied by the fragrance of oriental incense and perfumed oil.
I see Saint Charbel hovering before us, surrounded by a beautiful light. He is accompanied by Saint Rafka, who also appears in a beautiful light, and by a religious sister holding a large bouquet of red roses in her hands. She is Saint Rita, whose feast day we celebrate today, and I now see a wound on her forehead. The two women nod to us and smile. Saint Charbel says:
„In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen. Look to Jesus! Through His great sacrifice of love on the Cross, which He offered for you, Pentecost, the outpouring of the Holy Spirit, became possible. Again and again, the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of Truth, is poured out upon you whenever you ask for Him with all your heart. Do you truly realize what Jesus has done for you? No one has ever offered a greater sacrifice of love, and behold how many saints have followed Him! Let them be the compass that guides you to the Lord throughout your lives. Love sanctifies, whereas sin leads to destruction. This has always been so and always will be. Look to the saints, they walked the path to Jesus, the same path that you, too, can walk. The Lord does not close His Heart when you return to Him. What matters is not how you lived before you came to know Him—what matters is your conversion to Jesus! Look upon Him with humility, upon the One who has done such great things for you, and make time for Him, for He gave His life for you. Holiness is not something unattainable, for behold how many saints there are to show you the way. The world and the spirit of the age despise holiness, for both celebrate destruction. These sisters walked the path of holiness together with me. The number of unknown Christian martyrs is very great. Through their blood the Church is purified. Pray for peace. Pray for the Christians in Lebanon. Pray for the Middle East! Do not listen to the call of the powerful, listen to the call of the Lord! We will take all your intentions before the throne of the Lord.“
Saint Charbel bids us farewell together with the two holy religious sisters and says that later he will bless us together with the priest.
M.: I see Saint Charbel surrounded by light. He stands before us with his hands folded upright in prayer and speaks to us:
“In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
Friends of the Lord, pray very much for peace, and amid all the confusion that surrounds you, do not let it enter your hearts! Wash away everything that burdens you with the blessing of Jesus. Have courage and hope, and be strong in faith!
Do not look at the confusion that the world gives you—and it gives it in abundance at this time. Look to the promises of Christ! In these promises, hope is given to you. When you look to Jesus, your discouragement falls away from you. Place all your worries and needs into His Heart.
I have always looked to the promises of Christ and not to the world. Jesus is the One who gives you mercy and hope, and when you look to His love, then you have everything! What He gives you, the world cannot give!
Place all hostility into the blessing of Jesus and into His Most Sacred Heart, into His Precious Blood. Just look at how loveless and hard-hearted people are. Divisions constantly arise simply because people lack love.
Be different! Love, because Jesus loved you first!
The Lord has allowed me to plant cedars of faith in Germany, and I gladly do this, so that the West may find the coolness of their shade amid the heat of confusion and come to its senses.
Pray very much, for your prayer is not lost and softens hardened hearts.
Pray and love!”
Saint Charbel says that he will later bless us together with the priest. He takes his leave and disappears into the light.
During his appearance, we perceive an oriental fragrance of incense and the scent of amber and myrrh.
